The circuit was built in 1985 and is the first permanent race track in Eastern Europe. The circuit is known for its tight and twisty layout, with a mix of slow-speed corners and short straights, providing few opportunities for overtaking. The circuit is also known for its challenging and bumpy surface which provides a good test of car set-up and driver skill.
