Sabi Sands Day Two Morning
Day Two of our adventure. We started out looking for a leopard which works for me as I’m a love the big cats. We found one and were pottering around looking for buffalo when we got a call to say wild dogs (also known as painted wolves) had been seen in the area. An animal, I have to admit, I knew nothing about until this trip. Our guide was an expert on these animals as he’d been tracking them for a year. They have a fantastic bond within the pack and we were lucky enough to track them for about 30 minutes. These dogs are apparently very difficult to see as they move very quickly and are always on the go. An unbelievable day and we even got to see the buffalo as well. The animals pictured on this page are:
- Impala
- Brown Snake Eagle
- Leopard (Big 5)
- African Fish Eagle
- White Rhinoceros
- Common Duiker
- Wild Dogs (rare about 3,000 left)
- Buffalo (Big 5)
- Impala (Stag Heard)
- Egyptian Geese
- Little Bee Eater (eating a bee!)
