Here we are on the last day of our adventure. Just enough time to squeeze a final game drive in before we head off to Johannesburg and then the long flight to London. We went out looking for rhinoceros and started following the tracks of one, but unfortunately it had crossed the boundary onto the public part of Kruger so we were unable to follow. No sooner had we stopped trying to find this single beast when we came across three black rhinoceros which are actually a lot rarer than their white counterparts. These animals were very skittish and as soon as we got near they started running. I got a few shots off, but only one came out any good. The random thing was that whilst we were waiting for the rhinoceros to calm down I spotted a wild cat running away from us to the side, one of the animals I missed getting a photo of before. I still didn’t get a very good picture of him, but at least I got one this time.
The black rhinoceros and African wild cat gave us a fantastic end to an amazing holiday. Coupled with some nice birds, the last animals photographed on our trip are:
