What a fantastic day out. My brother had bought a boat through some dubious means, probably eBay and it actually floats. In itself, that's worthy of a mention, but he graciously offered to take us on a boat trip along the Thames by Windsor which is where the boat is moored. A very pleasant way to spend the afternoon stopping at a few local pubs and drinking tinnys on the way. Some very interesting birds spotted, not least of which were the parrots that I didn't manage to photograph. There seem to be a lot of domestic birds that have been set free along the river and they've interbred with the locals. Good old Mallards will have a go at anything. I suspect some of these identifications are wrong, but this is the best I could come up with:
