Old Borges Ranch May 2012
There's been a lot of noise around an indigo bunting being sighted up at Old Borges Ranch which is up the back from where we live. I ended up at home early getting ready for the long weekend and decided to head up on a whim to see if I could see it. I have to laugh as there were very descriptive directions to where the bird was that I didn't read and ended up in the wrong place. Fortunately the bird was in the wrong place as well as I saw it (or there was another one up there). In fairness I wasn't in the wrong place, I hadn't got to the place where it was supposed to be when I saw it. Beautiful bird and some interesting pictures of a turkey vulture that took off in front of me.
