Another one of those days where I was lucky enough to get home early so headed out for an hour. This time we went to Lake Merced. It was a very windy day so there was not really a lot about, but we did stumble across a few insects which gave me another opportunity to have a go at macro photography. I'm actually quite pleased with some of the results - I seem to have got the dragonflies focused a lot better than any of my previous attempts. The interesting thing is that photos DSC02008 to DSC02027 are of a dragonfly eating a fly. I had no idea that dragonflies ate flies until I watched this one do it. If you want to see it clearly, you will need to download the full resolution image and then zoom into the picture - it's actually quite strange where you can see the dragonfly's mouth over the fly.
