A very long walk with little reward on the birding front. To be honest, the main reason I'm posting this is to remind me that this may not be the best time of year to go to Old Borges Ranch. In fairness, there was quite a lot of activity with the acorn woodpeckers, scrub jays and all the regulars, but they were difficult to photograph up in the trees. I'll be honest, this did start out as a birding trip, but soon turned into just a walk on a nice day. So just the one long distance photo of a black phoebe then!
