Another chance to try a new place - Caesar Chavez Park in Berkeley is a nice little park on the Bay. One thing I will say about this place is that if you want to see a California Ground Squirrel, this is the place to come to - the place is absolutely overrun with them. It's funny as the first one I saw I hobbled up to it to get a photo before it moved and then spent the rest of the day trying not to trip over them. You will notice a couple of photos of them - I left a couple in from the beginning and kept a couple that I thought were cute. The new bird on the list is Clark's Grebe, so a good day out as I got to add another bird to the list. There was actually quite a good variety as follows:
