OK, so the best time to come here is high tide. Well, today was not a good day in that regard. In fairness, I didn't check the tide forecast until I'd walked to the shoreline, so that's on me. What's not on me is the muppet that reversed into my car at a set of traffic lights near the shoreline. Thankfully no damage was done as this guy seemed stoned out of his head and I'd question whether or not he had insurance. When I got out to check the car, he got out and his excuse was that he nearly ran the red light .... so after nearly running the red light, you ignored that constant horn noise behind you as I tried to warn you that you were reversing towards my car. Anyway, as I said, no harm done. So, I hadn't remembered exactly how far this walk was. On previous trips I've walked to Frank's dump, but it was clear I wasn't going to get there. I was shattered when I made the shoreline, so I just headed to the bench there and saw what I saw. I had noticed some stints on the way in and stopped to photograph them on the way back. I was rewarded by a chick raising it's head in the long grass to take a look at me. Quite cool.
