Back out with Hooked On Driving again and a chance to run in group B. My dentist friend who got me into driving track set me a time of 2:10, but this was based on a 2:12 in session 5 of the last time out. Session 5 is really slow as the track has warmed up too much by then. I think session 2 is probably the best session to put in a good lap. Videos at the bottom are for sessions 2 and 3. Unfortunately my phone did something strange and I didn't get the telemetry from session 2, but I've overlaid a timer and there's a couple of laps well below that 2:10 target, the fastest being in the 2:06's. Session 3 has some of the telemetry, but oddly missing the tachometer and speeds are being calculated from GPS movement, so there's going to be some strange jumps.
The bad news from this day was that I had a few warning lights come on in session 4. I pitted and cleared them, did a few laps and came in. The lights returned when I went to grid for session 5 and I decided to skip the session. Probably one of the best decisions I've made. The problem appears to be that as I'm getting faster, I'm using up more of the car every time I hit the track. I think I've gone through the brake pads (a challenge for the heavy GT-R). I'm likely going to upgrade the brakes when I return and add a harness.
