It's been a while since I've played tour guide, but last weekend I had a really good friend in town with a day to spare, so I figured I'd show him some of the sites. First challenge was the day he was free was the Bay to Breakers race which goes from the Bay to the Pacific Ocean and essentially closes the streets across the middle of the city. I thought Google maps would update with the closures, but it didn't. I did manage to figure out how to get around and once we connected we went out of town to avoid the traffic. A quick drive down Lombard Street and a stop to get a photo next to the Yoda statue first. Went up to Sausalito then round to Walnut Creek. Went out in the car (sadly didn't video the launch, but it did take Ross by surprise). Headed back into town for a trip up Twin Peaks that was sadly foggy, then back into town to go down California.
